Making DIY facial peels at home
A facial peel rids your skin of dead skin cells, fine lines, wrinkles, dry skin, and pimple scars. It can also help you look radiant for an important function. Yet, buying facial peels can prove expensive. A homemade facial peel helps you save money and offers all the aforementioned benefits of a facial peel. So, if you are looking to get healthy, glowing skin on a budget, here are some quick and easy homemade facial peel recipes that you can make at home.
Fruit facial peel
To half a cup pineapple pulp, add one-fourth cup fresh papaya and half a tablespoon of honey. Mix all the ingredients well till you get a thin paste-like consistency, and apply this mask to your face and neck. Wait for it to dry and then wash it off and pat dry with a towel. This face pack easily removes dead skin cells from the face and moisturizes it too. Moreover, it is suitable for all skin types.
Glycolic facial peel
This peel is derived from cane sugar and contains glycolic acid, which has the smallest molecule of Alpha Hydroxyl Acid group (AHA). Since it penetrates deeply into the pores, it binds the dead cells, cleanses and unclogs the pores, and eliminates chances of blackheads and dark spots. Additionally, it even performs deep exfoliation, because of which the growth of new skin cells increases. Moreover, it stimulates collagen and enhances skin texture. Simply pour cane sugar into a bowl and mix it in with lemon juice. Rub the mixture on your skin and wash off after letting it dry. Your skin will appear softer and cleaner.
BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) chemical facial peel
First, combine baking soda and water in a bowl. This is the neutralizer mixture for the main peel, which consists of lemon juice and salicylic acid made from aspirin. Now, sprinkle some lemon juice on the aspirin. The lemon is added to provide the exfoliating strength of citric acid, and it also adds AHA, which can easily dissolve the aspirin. Using a spoon, make a paste by crushing the aspirin into a thin paste. You may use some more lemon juice to maintain the consistency. Using your fingers, apply the peel over your face, but ensure that you avoid the area around the eyes. After 10 minutes, you may wipe the peel off using a cotton ball soaked in a mixture of baking soda and water.
Green tea, aloe vera, gelatin, cucumber, and chamomile facial peel
This facial peel can be prepared by making a mixture of chamomile, aloe vera, green tea, cucumber juice, and unflavored gelatin. First, warm the mixture, set it to cool, and then refrigerate. After the mixture has been left in the refrigerator to thicken, apply it evenly on your face and neck. This is one of the most soothing facial peels for the skin as it contains natural astringent properties that help kill bacteria and germs in your skin pores. This mask also helps tighten your skin and get rid of puffy eyes.
