The Whole30 diet investigates certain foods and how the body responds to them. First consumers eliminate certain food for thirty days and then eat them again after the thirty day period is over. It is described as a low carb diet and nutritional program designed to help consumers learn to eat healthy. This diet helps dieters eliminate foods that cause allergies and illness. 1. Dairy
The Whole 30 diet eliminates dairy product on the diet. Consumers cannot eat cheese, yogurt, butter, sour cream, ice cream, cottage cheese, or kiefer. The only product in this category that can be consumed is ghee.

2. Grains
Grains must be eliminated for 30 days. This includes bread, corn, wheat, rye, buckwheat, bulger, rice, quinoa, or sprouted grains. Desserts that use flour like cookies, cakes, pies, muffins, pastries, and cupcakes must be avoided.

3. Beans and legumes
Beans are another food that must be avoided on this diet. These beans are lentils, chickpeas, white and black beans, garbanzo beans, and peas. Avoid any products that uses soy in it. Products made with soy can be tofu, hotdogs, yogurt, soy sauce, processed meats, and more.

4. Sugar
Avoid any kind of sugar low calorie and regular. The list on sugars to avoid is honey, agave, maple syrup, Stevia, and Splenda. Avoid processed fruits in cans and frozen, desserts, and read labels for added sugar.

5. Junk food
Avoid junk food, potato chips, tortilla chips, cheese puffs, rice cakes, crackers, popcorn, cookies, etc. Don’t try to make snack food recipes or substitute ingredients. Keep it simple.

6. MSG and sulfites
Try to avoid all processed food especially with MSG, sulfites, and carrageenan. Avoid alcohol beer, wine and mixed drinks. When buying any processed foods look at labels carefully.

The diet condones fresh fruits and vegetables and organically raised meat, chicken, duck, fish, and eggs. The diet allows plenty of nuts and seeds, and healthy oils. Consumers can use almond flour and butter for baking. They allow cashew butter for cooking and spreads too.

9. Food substitutions
Other flours that can be substituted on the diet are coconut flour, and tapioca flour. Substitutes for milk are almond and coconut without sugar. Oil and vinegar can be used on salads for dressings. Condiments and foods that can be used that add flavor to food are fish sauce, hot sauce, olives, mustard, nutritional yeast, sauerkraut, and tomato sauce.
